List a book in under a minute.
Here's exactly what a student sees. Scan the barcode on the back, confirm it's the right book, make the condition promise, and you're done.
- 1
Tap "List a book"
Students sign in with the code on their Baton Card, so everyone they see is from their own school, and we never need their name.
~2 seconds - 2
Scan the barcode
Point the phone at the barcode on the back cover. No typing. If there's no barcode, they can enter the ISBN by hand.
~5 seconds - 3
Confirm the book
Title, author and cover fill in automatically, and we flag it if a teacher at their school has it on a reading list.
~5 seconds - 4
Make the condition promise
Pick the condition, check the condition promise, and list it to give away. Book Drops happen at the school library.

Listed! Students at your school can find it
Anyone who needs it gets notified. Names stay private, so the student chooses who gets it by their reliability score and number of books given.

Book Drops that don't fall through the cracks
Every Book Drop has a deadline at each step. Reminders go out on their own, and if someone doesn't follow through, the request resets so nobody is left waiting. Pick a situation to see what each student gets.

- Picked upWithin 3 school days
- It's theirs1 school day to report a problem
Deadlines count school days only, so weekends and vacations never trigger alerts.
Privacy & trust
Names stay private. Reputation does the talking.
Students never see each other's names, photos or contact info. Instead, every student has a trust card built from what they actually do: how many books they've given away and how often they're on time.
What other students see
- ✕NO name or photo
- ✕NO phone, email or social media
- ✕NO home address or neighborhood
- ✕NO direct messages between students
Only the school librarian can see who is who, so an adult can step in if something goes wrong. See the librarian view →
How the reliability score works
| Drop-off or pickup on time | + keeps score up |
| Used the "1 more day" extension | no penalty |
| Missed a drop-off or pickup | − counts against |
| Gave a book that didn't match its condition promise | − counts against |
| The other student missed a step | your score is protected |
New students show 🌱 New member until they've finished 3 Book Drops, so one early slip doesn't define them. Only the last 12 months count, so students can always rebuild.
Badges students can earn
When several students request the same book, the owner sees their trust cards side by side and picks one. Students with higher reliability naturally get picked first.
